The chapters are organized to place the role of Catholic journalists in the context of the larger culture. They start with a study of the influence of EWTN on national politics. In chapters 5 through 8, the contributors discuss the role of the faithful in politics, focusing on issues of religious liberty and health care; they also address the same issues in culture, with chapters on entertainment, sports, business, and the arts.
A final chapter looks forward to a time when the papacy itself will be resident in Rome again and now that the cathedral of St. John Paul II will be filled with the cardinals of the next pope.
This text has a broad audience in mind, especially students, but it will also be of interest to anyone who has an interest in the role of Catholics in the public arena today.Vico Turrini
